JAWS or ADOBE

Running Windows XP (for at least one more week) and Internet Explorer 7.
Tried to get driving directions (and time) on MapQuest.
The first time, I received an error blaming Adobe Flash.
The second time, the system flat locked up. Had to shut down.
This may not be a JAWS issue at all. If this doesn't seem familiar to anyone,
I'll just have my secretary run the MapQuest and see what happens when I get
the new image on my laptop.
