Hi

Here's how I usually handle this sort of thing. For me, everything I use works with JAWS 9, so I simply install the most updated version and let it go at that. However, your situation might be different. If there's a program that you use a whole lot that works better with JAWS 7, but not 9, what I would do is install 7 first, and then install 9 after that. Remember, each version of JAWS installs into its own folder, making it easy to switch between versions if you need to. How I understand it, if you're authorized for versions 7, 8, and 9, which it sounds like you are you should be ok to do that. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me on that.

I'm buying a new computer and picking it up, today. On my laptop and old desktop, I have JAWS 7 and 9. If I want both those versions on the new computer, do I have to also install JAWS 8, in order to go from 7 to 9?
