Try doing insert+6 to go into the JAWS config manager from within ZapNotes.
Go to Set Options and then User Options, and set your screen echo to none.

Subject: JAWS configuration manager

Hi,
I was in ZapNotes and the selected items did not read so I did the
insert, control, H command. I made a change so that the selected items
would read. Then I got a problem that I had gotten in the past when
trying to work with the highlight command. JAWS started reading
everything.

I went into the ZapNotes Configuration Manager and went to the Reset
function. It said that if I did the reset then things would be set back
to the factory settings. Does this just mean the ZapNote configuration
manager or does this mean all the changes that I have made with this
version of JAWS?

Is there another solution to this problem? I took the ZapNotes
configuration manager totally out of the enu area and JAWS still read
everything on the screen over and over.

Right now I am using an older version of JAWS because the JAWS version
5 is impossible to work with.

BTW, I checked in my other versions of JAWS for the ZapNotes
configuration manager and there is none. I was thinking that I could
copy it into the JAWS 5 version.

Thanks for any help,
