Brilliant suggestion.  I think I'll keep the authorization code on a card in my 
wallet too.  So, if the crisis I experienced occurs again, I would be set, 
provided I had fast Internet access, which I did in the situation you described.
I love this list.  There so many creative and knowledgeable people.

I don't know about the thumb drive version of JAWS, but don't see why you
couldn't down load JAWS on the borrowed lab top, you are allowed to use JAWS
on up to 3 computers, in such a case as I just described  it would be a good
idea to have your 20 digit JAWS on a thumb drive with you for authorization.
