Dave, You hav me confused. Page is page one if you insert the number at the bottom, on top of the document or personally encode it in the middle of the text. If page one is page one Jaws will read the page number at the top of the page as you read from one page to the other. If the user inserts page numbers into a document, how can they get JAWS to read that page number without manually moving to the "Header and Footer" area? > > And BEFORE THIS TURNS INTO A GREAT DEBATE, THE ACTUAL PAGE NUMBER DOES NOT HAVE TO MATCH THE PAGE NUMBER ON THE STATUS LINE. > > > > Thank you. > > > -- > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. > Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfw > > If you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
