Hi there,Why? Because of its graphics requirements. Have you followed instructions to change yh theme and color settings to that of Windows Classic? Also, have you turned those graphics features like 3;-4 flip off? Have you adjusted your performance setting to use "Adjust for Best Performance?"
Cheers, Joseph

It doesn't do anymore than what xp did. (Not
really a bug)
I have to refresh my screen all the time with
insert escape. (After a
while annoying)I have also found that cygwin doesn't work as
well with it. That is why
I am moving to linux for programming. Finally it requires 1 gb of ram and my
computer only has 1 gb of ram so
I can't run vmware imagesYou will probably say "Update your ram!".
But why does it require 4
times as much ram as xp?

notice some issues with
virtual buffer with IE7 and some slowness.
But still, I'm sticking to
NT 6.0. Cheers, Joseph

I disagree. Vista and jaws still has lots
of
bugs from what I can tell.
I am considering down grading as well.

I've also found thatit is extremely fast(especially if you get a laptop with IntelCore II Duo CPU in it). There is a list out there called Blind Vista(located at Googlegroups)that discusses about everything that has todo with Vista, includingPatricia's question about JAWS and Vista, issues that we've discussedfor the past few months, and others whichwere discussed on otherlists (especially on Blind Cool Tech andBlind Geek Zone lists). There are numerous tutorials on WindowsVista located at Blind CoolTech website. It is called "A Guide toWindows Vista" and the authorwho've produced this did a wonderful job ofproviding informationabout JAWS and Vista. Rick Harmon's BlindGeek Zone site hosts hisfamous "Windows Vista First Looks" tutorialswhich goes beyond "AGuide to Windows Vista" detailing usage ofVista with JAWS to do,among other things, to burn a DVD andothers. The "Guide" talkseverything from installation of WindowsVista itself and JAWS tothings like Media Center, Backup andRestore, IE7 and JAWS and soforth. I highly recommend these sites formore info about Vista andJAWS. Any more Vista questions?
