forms mode and use accessible name are set to different values. Are they
supposed to be? Is forms mode a jaws thing in this context or something
specific to active x.

Subject: JAWS and AccessibleName

We are working on an application that could use a little better support on the
JAWS
end. I've submitted this to a couple of the Freedom support folks but haven't
heard
back yet. Might as well get some consensus here....
We've made a lot of progress with WindowEyes but am having problems
with Jaws.

We're working on a product that is to support MSAA. It is an ActiveX
control that runs in the browser. It was built with Microsoft's ATL.
The windowhierarchy looks like:

IEFrame IDX Web Framework - Microsoft Internet
 Shell DocObject View
   Internet Explorer_Server
     ATL:02708808 !
     ATL:0C611368 !
     ATL:02708518 !
     WindowsForms10.Window.8.app16 !
     ATL:6604D5E0
       IDXtermWindow

The IDXtermWindow is the one I am interested in. I have added the
following to the JActiveX.ini file. Most of its presentations are dialog
subforms that the user navigates with TAB and SHIFT-TAB. However,
Jaws does not read the Accessibility Names I have added for my
controls. For example, prior to an edit field, I have a label "Patient": but
have set an Accessibility Name of "Patient Lookup" which Jaws ignores.

What changes can I make to the following to make it work correctly?
Does anyone have a clue as to the solution?

[clsid:B50B4ECE-666C-11D1-8DB2-000000000000]
WindowClass=IDXtermWindow
Description=ICW
StartString=ICW Start
EndString=ICW End
UseFormsMode=0
RenderingLevel=2
MSAAFlags=1

Thanks much,
