RE: JAWS Using CITRIX

All:
For most of us, the debate over Citrix or Terminal Services is largely
academic. Usually, the corporate employer has standardized on one or the
other, usually, in my experience, Citrix. My old law firm used Citrix, and as
I've mentioned on this list, my new firm has graduated beyond Citrix to FireBox
which, for purposes of using business applications, is a million times better.
Whether one uses Terminal Services or Citrix (but not FireBox), copies of JAWS
have to be loaded at both the client and server machines. That is often the
trouble. IS folks typically don't read the documentation (or do so minimally).
Then Freedom Scientific has to get on the phone and hold their hands. I've
been through that headache more than once. If there is turnover in the Citrix
manager position, you're in for a headache all over again when a new version of
JAWS is installed.
Just my $0,.02.

Terminal Services supports more than one logged in user at the same
time. Workstation licenses generally only provide for one connection
but that is a function of the license not the technology.
