Hello:

I need ideas on how to resolve a problem I was called about that I've
never seen before. I got a call about someone using JAWS 7.0, Windows
XP Home, Outlook Express and Internet Explorer Version 6. Just
recently, this individual has had something strange happen. This is
that when he is typing into the "to:", "cc:" and "Subject" fields of
Outlook Express, JAWS reads the information with no problem. When he
goes into the message body, JAWS won't read what he is typing. In fact,
from what I am told, they can't get into the message body using the
mouse.

The same thing happens with forms on several web pages. That is, JAWS
says when the individual is on a form field, but when he hits enter to
turn forms mode on, there is no cursor. Again, I am told they can't get
the cursor into the form fields using the mouse either.

I suggested looking at resolution in the display window off of control
panel. Also, I looked in the "PC Help Desk In a Book" publucation and
it said to check the settings in the Internet Options dialog under the
tools menu.

Does anyone have any ideas on what might have caused the cursor to
disappear in Outlook Express Message Area and Forms ON the Web? What
settings do you suggest I have this individual take a look at? This
doesn't sound like a JAWS specific problem from what I am being told.

Thanks,
