Good morning,

Let's clear a couple of terms up here:

OpenOffice is a productivity suite similar to Microsoft Office

Linux and Windows are two separate operating systems

JAWS is a screen-reader for Windows.

Orca is a screen-reader that works with the gnome graphical desktop for Linux.

JAWS cannot operate in Linux, but Orca does operate in Linux and works well with OpenOffice. Also, Voiceover for the Mac operating system works well with OpenOffice.

I am not aware of a Windows screen-reader that works well with OpenOffice, although I do hear that ZoomText does work well.

HTH,
Everett

Hi,

Is anyone using Jaws with a Linux operating system and Open Office? Are
there any problems with compatibility?

Thanks,

Kim
