This is not what she is looking for. She needs a program with OCR
capability. Adobe is free and can convert a PDF file to a plain text file
but she has graphic images that first need to be converted to recognizable
characters. OpenBook does this via the Freedom Import Printer but she asked
for something inexpensive and OpenBook is not that.

Hello:
Could someone suggest a free (or inexpensive) program that will work
with JAWS and Windows XP to convert PDF image files to text? I
frequently get PDF file attachments that are fax messages that have
been converted to PDF and e-mailed to me. When I open the PDF file
I cannot read it because there is no sound.
Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
