Try changing the pitch to a greater extent.
Also, I haven't tried the speech and sounds manager in this regard but maybe
there is something you could using this feature.

If you are talking about Jaws sayiing a capitol letter in a sentence such as
"Steve went to a store" I think you are out of luck. Jaws will not interupt
itself to say the capitol letter on the correct name. If, in your
dictionary, Steve is capitolized the spell check will pick it up as a
misspelled word if you spell Steve with a small letter. Judith

  Hello friends,

can anyone tell me if there is a way to make JAWS say Capital or something
when it comes across a word such as a name with an initial capital in
Microsoft word? I have the pitch changing but sometimes, to be honest, I
don't notice it, especially when in the spell checker.

the place to find it and under which menu would be really good if you can,

  many thanks in anticipation,

  Steve.
