YOu see, that is exactly why I am asking about vista. I had the exact
problem. In fact, my machine wasn't sluggish, it was almost none esistant.
it was so slow I sent the system back.
I have spoken to a couple of jaws techs, who tell me it was due to ddrivers
needing upgrades, and micro soft upgrades causing the problem. this is why I
still feel xp pro is the way to go. I've not tried the new beta 9 jaws with
vista however. it might be a huge upgrade in performance. I am still leery
however.

I've just purchased a laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium, and,
compared to my previous Windows XP Home machine, JAWS 8 seems to be
sluggish when typing or using the keyboard in general. I tried both JAWS
8.0.423 and JAWS 8.0.2173 with the same results. How can I go about fixing
this, or has JAWS 9 been improved in this way?
