Michel,

Previous versions of Outlook had this information on the status line, so
you could get it with one keystroke as Ryan mentioned. In Outlook 2003
the status line only has the total number of messages. The quickest way
I've found to get the number of unread messages in a folder is to press
F6 to get to the tree view and then press Insert + UpArrow. You then
need to press F6 again to return to the listview.

I am sorry but it does not read the number of red messages just the
number of messages in that folder

Hi,

You can do this by using the read status line command. This is the Jaws
key plus the page down key (or the Jaws key plus the three key on the
numeric keypad).

This will read the total number of messages in your folder plus the
number of unread messages.

I hope this helps,

Ryan

Hi, all,`

Is there a way to make JAWS say the number of unread messages in Outlook
2003? Ex: I would like JAWS say "Two items, one unread". Thanks at the
advance.

Michel Salvas

P.S. I'm using JAWS 9.
