check in control panel
in accessibility
control tab to display
make sure the blink rate and width, is set to zero
and don forget to apply changes
if, there is a change,
if, it is already set to zero, just escape and close the control panel

    Bill, what OS is your wife running and ,ptusing, are you running
Win 98 or XP?

    I'm having similar problems here with Win 98 se and JAWS 6.0.  A
repair of JAWS didn't seem to help and ditto for a previous repair of
IE.
