You still have to install the java accessibility bridge. And even then, you might be able to navigate a bit in Open Office, but you aren't going to get the functionality of say Microsoft Office, because Open office hasn't been scripted to work with Jaws. Go to your jaws help system, popular application support, to jaws for windows java support.
