JAWS 12 and Outlook

Greetings all,
I've noticed that when I read an email in Outlook and it's written in a word
document, JAWS doesn't want to read it. Does anyone know in Office 10 how to
put all email to be read in either Text or HTML format? I can't find where
to change this major problem.
I'm using JAWS 12, Windows7 and MS Outlook.
Remember, cars aren't the only things recalled by their maker!
