Why don't you just do a windows key r and type "jaws11" or "jaws12" and hit
enter and it will start eather one you type

i can't go from 12 to 11 for some reason. if i kill jaws and try to start
version 11 the 12 opens every time. can't figure this one out.

I'm flirting with the idea of reverting to 10, then jumping back to 12.
After all, 10 was the last time Access worked. I filed a beta report, and
mentioned that strategy; let's see what I get back. Sounds like a weekend
project to me.

        Ted,

I agree with both your points, and unfortunately don't have any idea on
how to help you with MS-Access.

Yes, Text Analyzer could be really nice.

The whole thing was pretty smooth. I was underwhelmed by the virtual
ribbon, and turned it off. However, I noticed that 12's handling of the
Microsoft ribbon is better than 10-11's. Unfortunately, Access still doesn't
work.  I'd darn near give a week's pay to know what broke between 10 and 11;
why only this one application, and what is the hardware-software interaction on
my particular machine?

The Big sleeper here may be Text Analyzer. For those of us who
write, this could be a real bonus.

          Ted,

This one is pretty benign. And yes, they can coexist so you can
switch back/forth. I recommend that you make sure you have your current JAWS
shortcut set to a hotkey like Ctrl+Shift+J to make it easier to launch.

Also note that after you install the JAWS 12 Beta, it will turn off
the auto launch of your current JAWS, so make sure you set that back before
rebooting.

I've never fooled with one of these before. If I decide to
install, I gather from the Web site that it will coexist with JAWS 11, and
will, presumably, run until the commercial product is available. Anything I
need to know about the installation or uninstallation process? Given all the
problems with 11, I'm partly hopeful, and more than a little gun shy.
