I haven?t delved too deeply int all my settings, but the one thing I did
notice was that my various voice profiles (real speak voices for example)
aren?t showing up my jaws 11 version.

Subject: JAWS 11 beta and previous settings.

Hi all,

I noticed an interesting thing when I installed the JAWS 11 beta, but don?t
know if it?s supposed to work like that or if it?s an issue, so haven?t
filled out the beta form yet.

When I tried merging my settings from 10, some, though not all of them got
merged. Thankfully, all my sound schemes got transferred over which would?ve
taken a long time to redo manually. However, things like all my speech
settings like rate and punctuation did not. That wasn?t too hard to set up
manually, but none of my third party scripts got added in, so I have to
switch back and forth between the JAWS 11 beta and the latest version of 10.

Anyone else notice this? I wonder if it?s supposed to do that since it?s a
beta and not a full release yet. I?d like to if possible, use the beta most
of the time and not have to switch back and forth. I?ve noticed in the beta
using Outlook to read email, that it?ll say ?collapse? or ?expanded? for
different folders, which I really like. The research it feature is pretty
neat too, I just hope they add more options in there, like more sports or
maybe news sources. I wonder where it is pulling some of its content from.
The beta hasn?t crashed on my computer yet like 10 does, but I?m not holding
my breath on that one.

I might have to look at renewing my SMA, although I can probably use PAC
Mate desktop or a thumb drive until I can once the full version comes out.

Brian
