Alt-o should open the options dialog, and then there are several pages, one
of which is for ripping.

I know very little about Windows Media Player, although I do have it on
my computer. Can you tell me where to go with JAWS to set the rip
options?

Setting the rip options in WMD is easy to do, as well.
