JAWS 10, Vista, default pitch setting

First, I appreciate your responses.
On a Vista OS and Jaws 10 the following problem exists.
When setting the default pitch for JAWS 10, the setting does not seem to get
applied to all configurations.
For example, when the pitch is set and the computer is rebooted, the pitch
is like it was set.
However, once any key is hit the pitch seems to resets itself to whatever it
is when freshly installed.
Anyone else experiencing this?
