Is the latest version accesible now? If not, does someone have a way that I can get the last accessible version. Mine got damaged and I had to uninstall it. My understanding is that you can't take things on and off of the Ipod unless you do it through Itunes. I wish that weren't the case, but unless someone knows differently. . .

No there isn't; it just means you can use JAWS on all flavours of Windows. This is why people criticize FS as the competition doesn't charge for things like that.
