Interesting thing when trying to download!

Hi list members, An interesting thing happened while i went to the update
page! I was given a choice to download the new version of the windows
update software first. I think that there is no way to go back to a
previous version of the update software but then the next thing that i
discovered is crytical update service pack 2.
My question is what can i expect when i download this service pack since i'm
using windows x p media center addition? What will happen especially to my
sonar and sonar talking on my laptop? I can be reached at
