I know that this does not happen on all machines and I am not grant. I know someone who is running jaws 4.51 with windows.98 for instance who does not get the error. The only problem he some times has is that eloq comes up instead of dec and he just switches synths. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Arianna Calesso" <acalesso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, February 27, 2004 4:16 PM Subject: Re: Installing Dec Access32 with JAWS 5.0 Grant, I bought the Dec Access32 software from GW Micro and they have told me that if I have JAWS set to come on at start up, I will get an error message because JAWS is not going to recognize the Dec synthesizer. do you know anything about this? Since I have to hit my enter key as a password before Windows XP comes up JAWS comes on and tells me this. Will I have a problem here? After pressing control+shift+d for the default file, press alt+s for Set Options, S for Synthesizer options, and then select DecTalk from the combo box provided. > Press enter, then alt+f4 out of the configuration manager. DecTalk is virtually invisible--you won't see it on the desktop or in the start menu. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Arianna Calesso > To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Monday, February 16, 2004 3:57 PM > Subject: Installing Dec Access32 with JAWS 5.0 > > My OS is Windows XP home edition and I want to install Dec Access32 and have it be my default synthesizer. > When I install this software where should It go and how do I make it become the default synthesizer? > > I'm doing this because I like to use a different synth when listening to the radio and I want to use this rather than Eloquence. > > Any help will be appreciated. > > Arianna Calesso > -- > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. > > If you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
