Install Maintenance with 5.10; no speech half the time

Hi,
By accident discovered that once one hits enter on Install Maintenance,
there is no speech from then on at all until I kept repeating the same
actions.
F Y I: I get speech using Install Maintenance only half the time.
When I don't get any speech, I stop Install Maintenance and hope I get
speech later or use an earlier JAWS to pick my choices.
