MessageThat customize button you mention is what he referred to. I tried it
after reading his message. Just press enter on it and arrow down several
times. You'll find what you're looking for.

  Peter,
Which version of IE are you using? I am using IE 6 and the first thing that
appears under the security tab is a list of zones, such as, internet, local
internet and so on. The next thing is a sites button, a customize for this zone
button and I believe a default settings for this zone button.
  Take care,
  John

John, you could try the following. It's just a guess though, but worth a
try.

Click on the Tools menu in internet explorer
    click on 'Internet Options'
    Go to the Security Tab
    click on Custom
Then go down the tree to 'Download Signed ActiveX Controls'
Then go to Enable and make sure it is checked or press space bar on it.
Then click OK and Ok again.

I uninstalled quick time and went to the Microsoft update page and
still got the same message and there is still no information bar, so I guess I
will just have to trust Microsoft's automatic updates to see me through.
        Take care,
        John
