Actually ed, the best way to prevent that is to remove iTunes from the file asociations list. iTunes 10 works ppretty well with jaws 11, but for some reason jaws 12 is a bit more stable. However, if jaws 11 is the only you have, you are good. I personally love iTunes. It is my favorite player around. However, it takes a bit of getting used to. Just like everything apple. There are a couple of pretty good podcasts on using JAWS with iTunes that were made earlier this year by Freedom Scientific. I think you can find them on the Freedom Scientific Website. They are called FSCasts. The demonstrated product is JAWS 12, but, for this purpose, I think JAWS 11 should work fine. Anyway, I've had no difficulty, though iTunes is nothing short of a royal pain. Plus, it is like a virus and tries to take over your computer, jumping in to play every audio file you attempt to play on your computer. There is a setting deep, deep, deep within iTunes to turn off this aggressive behavior, which sometimes works. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John Fioravanti Sent: Saturday, February 26, 2011 8:29 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: ITunes with Jaws 11 Hi: I've never used ITunes before but a friend bought me an ipod and I'm thinking about it. Can I use ITunes with Jaws 11 withough special scripts and if not, where can I get the scripts. I know this has been discussed befored but unfortunately, I didn't save the posts as I usually do when interested in something. Thanks.
