1. Jaws 10 and up are accessible with I tunes.
  2. You don't need any scripts to use I tunes. Jaws is totally
accessible.

  3. How to use I tunes? Well, you just tab and use the arrow buttons.

  4. How to add Songs and file? Go the the file sub menu and arrow down
to Add file to library.

  5. How to find the song I just added? Tab to sorces treeview. Then
arrow down to recently added then tab about 8 or 9 times until you get to
button search edit then a few more and you will hear something than names of
your songs. Here is where you can arrow up and down through your songs.

  6. How to add songs to the playlist? Arrow to the songs you want to add
than press the application button and arrow up to add song to playlist and
arrow to the right then up and down to the playlist you want.

  7. How to delete songs? Just press the delete button the songs you
don't want.

  8. There is another way to add your songs is by albulms. You go to the
sources treeview and arrow down to music and tab around until you get to the
list.

  9. How to put voice over on. On itunes put the sources treeview on the
name of your ipod if any or arrow to devices if no name for your ipod. By
default it names your ipod by your computer name. then tab to summary and there
is where you check the check box for voice feed back.

If im wrong on any of this please feel free and correct m, but if not can we
stop talking about I ttunes.

David, to answer your question specifically, JAWS 11 contains no scripts for
ITunes. The best support for it is now in JAWS 11, and the JTunes scripts
which Brian Hartgen from England has authored are what you can purchase (for
$75) to provide additional capabilities not present when you use JAWS alone.
In the US, you can purchase JTunes or get more information at
http://www.ngtvoice.com which is the Web site for Next Generation
Technologies, Inc. Hope this helps! At 02:09 PM 6/20/2010 +0100, Chris

Hi, I'd like to know if jaws 11 has scripts for i tunes or support for
i tunes? If so, how do you like it does this version of jaws help you do
more in i tunes than in previous versions of jaws. What's the verdict on
this? I'm asking this question because i'm not sure if all i want is to
upgrade jaws just so that i can use i tunes without any problems. Thank
you for any information that you might have.

Hi, how are you? First you'll have to download i tunes first from apple,
then you would also download the most recent version of the latest
  software
for your i pod. Once you do this, you'll need sighted assistance with the
registration of your i pod. If you have i tunes, installing it should
  be no

problem but the other things, you'll need sighted assistance for. I hope
  that this helps.

  That is the confusing thing.

Once I connect the Touch to the XP there was no set-up process.

Does it not automatically start that via some wizard, or does one
  have to
  go
to some web page and download the ITUNES?

  Thanks.

Hi how are you? Did you go through the process of setting up your i pod.
Did you already have i tunes on your system? If you did, then you also
  know

that you have to set up voice or at least get voice over to talk so that
when you have things already on your computer that when you connect
  your i
pod that every will sync which means that any audio books and other
  things
will be transfered to your i pod. As far as cd's go you can import the
cd's. I hope that this helps.

If I may jump in here?

I've plugged an IPOD Touch in my XP System the other day (after having
  been
told that ITUNES will automatically pop up) expecting to sign onto
  ITUNES,
etc., but nothing really ever occurred.

My XP recognized the device as an Apple device, but only gave me a
  single
  folder of photos.

Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong?

  Thanks.

  Christopher,
You might want to go to

  http://www.accessibleworld.org/category/site-categories/tek-talk-archives

and listen to Brian Hartgen, the author of the J-Tunes scripts, talk
  about
iTunes and JAWS 11. You will need to go down to the Tek Talk Archives
heading on the page and select the link that takes you to the second
  page
  of

the archives. It's the February 8 2010 presentation. As I recall, he
  gives

some nice navigation tips that don't involve his J-Tunes scripts.

When Brian first wrote his scripts in 2005, there was no other way to
  access

iTunes and the iTunes Store except with his scripts. Since I didn't
  want
  to

use iTunes to organize my music, I wasn't interested in J-Tunes, and I
thought the price was too high. Now that iTunes and the iTunes Store
  are
more accessible with JAWS and other Screen readers, and I use iTunes to
  feed

my iPod Touch, I can use iTunes to do what I need to do, and I still
  think
the price of the scripts is too high.

The J-Tunes scripts add a lot of convenience to the use of iTunes and
  have

  a

lot of built-in Help. It's up to you whether you want to pay the price
  for
  this convenience and Help.

Now that Apple and FS have made ITunes really fairly accessible, I'm
wondering if anyone can tell me if the JTunes scripts are still
  beneficial

and worth the purchase and a little bit about why or why not. Thanks!
