Re: I get so frustrated with Jaws

My experience at
www.fox.com
using JAWS5.00812, was; HJAWS was slow, but worked. Sometimes, when I
went back to spell a word, JAWS struggled with the letter, i.e. took a
second to say each letter as I press right-arrow, then returned to
normal again for the rest of that word. The page did load fully. I
went to the sport section. Same phenomena. When I closed both pages,
JAWS continued to read the main page, and then seized.
Unloading/reloading, did not bring it back. Restarted computer, and met
with ScanDisk. (Using Windows Millennium.) I suggest using an earlier
version of JAWS to read the page. That worked for me on a previous
problem page, worse for me than this one. It probably is something in
JAWS, on some machines. (I was about to suggest poor coding in the Web
page, but I guess then that the problem would then be JAWS universal.)

But what suggests to me that it might be a repair issue is that it is
not
happening to most of us. I would give the repair option a go if I were
you.
