Hi Chris,

I see. No, I know what the skin of an interface is. It wasn't Jerry. It was
the subject line. It always said "how to turn off the skim," as in "skim
milk." It wasn't Jerry's fault. He isn't confused about any of this. He just
used the sane subject line he was given, and it was I who wasn't sure if it
meant what it said. Sorry if there is something unclear. Hope that makes
sense.

Thanks.

I think Jerry has either mis-read or mis-heard the word skin as skim.
In computing terms the "skin" is the visible surface of an application
AKA the user interface.

Hi Jerry,
What's the skim when you're talking about an antivirus program? Is it a
default setting for checking only certain areas of your hard drive and
moving on to the next, sort of a quick or partial scan? I don't have a
setting like that in AVG Free Edition.

Thanks.

Hello everyone. I have been using my Windows Vista computer for a

month and I am using JAWS 9. I have the Norton antivirus installed
temporarily and my 60-day trial is running out. I will be installing
Avast
and I want to know how you turn the skim off and how you configure it to

your computer. Thank you.
