I think Jerry has either mis-read or mis-heard the word skin as skim. In computing terms the "skin" is the visible surface of an application AKA the user interface. Is it a default setting for checking only certain areas of your hard drive and moving on to the next, sort of a quick or partial scan? I don't have a setting like that in AVG Free Edition. Thanks. I have been using my Windows Vista computer for a month and I am using JAWS 9. I have the Norton antivirus installed temporarily and my 60-day trial is running out. I will be installing Avast and I want to know how you turn the skim off and how you configure it to your computer. Thank you. -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
