MessageRick, But it depends on your settings in the configuration. You can direct JAWS to use both or only one of the Insert keys. The fact that the JAWS (Insert) key does not work is mystifying. Oh, wait, which Insert key are you using, the one in the 6-pack, or the one at the bottom of the Numpad? It could make a very big difference. JAWS+F2 should bring up a list of actions, allowing you to select the configuration manager, and other various goodies. Are you certain you're using the JAWS key? If on a laptop layout, it's the Caps Lock key. Just doesn't seem right that you don't get the list. I might have to select no speech, because nothing happens when I press JAWS key and f2. Once there you press Alt+s, then A for advanced. Then the first checkbox is for Sleep mode. Then press OK, then Alt+F, s to save, and then Alt+f4 to close the configuration manager. Then JAWS will be asleep whenever you launch that application. Other than that, the only other way to suspend JAWS is to press JAWS+Ctrl+s and select "no speech" from the list of synthesizers. I'd like to put JAWS asleep when S A Mobile starts. But, when I'm on the S A Mobile desktop, nothing happens when I press the JAWS key and f2; probably because I'm in another screen reader. Any thoughts? Check the sleep mode check box press enter to activate the ok button Close the configuration manager and say yes when it asks if you want to save the changes. from then on when the game is running JAWS will be silent. when you exit the game or alt+tab away from it JAWS will work normally.
