Hi, maybe I am off  base here but are you trying to remove this key
command or have another key in addition to do the same thing.

What I was trying to say was that since it's a Windows convention rather

than being an actual Windows keystroke, the control+a is defined as such

by the actual program, not by Windows itself. So you couldn't change it 
universally within Windows, you'd have to change it from within the 
individual program, assuming the program would let you do it.
