Hi, there is no way to do this across the board do to the fact each program definds this key on its own. The best you can do is add another key in the jaws manager to do the same thing. This means you will have 2 keys that do the same thing. Now you could once you do that define a script to control a and put it in your default.jss file that does nothing. Then when you press control a nothing would happen. I would like another key combination such as <ALT+SHIFT+A> to perform the Windows function of selecting the whole document instead of <CTRL+A>. sincerely: Dave Durber On Tue, 4 Oct 2005 18:23:44 -0700, you wrote: >Hi, maybe I am off base here but are you trying to remove this key >command or have another key in addition to do the same thing. > >-----Original Message----- >From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On >Behalf Of Bruce Toews >Sent: Tuesday, October 04, 2005 4:32 PM >To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: Re: Ho to change the use of the <CTRL+A> Windows key >combination. > > >What I was trying to say was that since it's a Windows convention >rather > >than being an actual Windows keystroke, the control+a is defined as >such > >by the actual program, not by Windows itself.
