Hi how are you? Go to www.apple.com, after you get there if you are using jaws do an insert+f7 to bring up the list of links. Down arrow until you hear itunes, after that the go back to apple then repeat the same process and go to i pod. I don't know which version of jaws you are using but, after you download the recent software for your i pod then you should be in good shape. I hope that this information helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "george grey" <gbgray@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

That is the confusing thing. Once I connect the Touch to the XP there was no set-up process.Does it not automatically start that via some wizard, or does one have to goto some web page and download the ITUNES? Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of david ingram Sent: Saturday, June 19, 2010 7:53 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Did you go through the process of setting up your i pod? Hi how are you? Did you go through the process of setting up your i pod.Did you already have i tunes on your system? If you did, then you also knowthat you have to set up voice or at least get voice over to talk so that when you have things already on your computer that when you connect your i pod that every will sync which means that any audio books and other things will be transfered to your i pod. As far as cd's go you can import the cd's. I hope that this helps.----- Original Message ----- From: "george grey" <gbgray@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, June 19, 2010 5:41 PM Subject: RE: JTunesIf I may jump in here? I've plugged an IPOD Touch in my XP System the other day (after having beentold that ITUNES will automatically pop up) expecting to sign onto ITUNES,etc., but nothing really ever occurred. My XP recognized the device as an Apple device, but only gave me a single folder of photos. Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong? Thanks. -----Original Message-----From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On BehalfOf Gary King Sent: Saturday, June 19, 2010 6:11 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: JTunes Christopher, You might want to go to http://www.accessibleworld.org/category/site-categories/tek-talk-archivesand listen to Brian Hartgen, the author of the J-Tunes scripts, talk aboutiTunes and JAWS 11. You will need to go down to the Tek Talk Archives heading on the page and select the link that takes you to the second page of the archives. It's the February 8 2010 presentation. As I recall, he gives some nice navigation tips that don't involve his J-Tunes scripts. When Brian first wrote his scripts in 2005, there was no other way to access iTunes and the iTunes Store except with his scripts. Since I didn't want to use iTunes to organize my music, I wasn't interested in J-Tunes, and I thought the price was too high. Now that iTunes and the iTunes Store are more accessible with JAWS and other Screen readers, and I use iTunes to feedmy iPod Touch, I can use iTunes to do what I need to do, and I still thinkthe price of the scripts is too high. The J-Tunes scripts add a lot of convenience to the use of iTunes and havea lot of built-in Help. It's up to you whether you want to pay the price for this convenience and Help.
