Hi Everyone, I am on the Access Board of the Canadian Hearing Society, here, in Thunder Bay, and how a Deaf person writes and how a person who is hard of hearing or late deafened is different. However, we can give them the same help. Actually, I think that the Deaf Community, who are Culturally Deaf, speak (sign) a whole different syntax than English. Isn't it great to know that we can help one another through this listserve. Take care all. I give him a lot of credit for trying to learn the computer and he has really learned a lot since I've helped him. We all need to remember that people who come to this list for help are each individuals with their own unique sets of abilities. Some grasp concepts quickly, while with others it may take additional explaining. This list is about all of us helping each other and no person should be put down for how they write or express themselves. Addison's questions are always very clear to me and if they are not, as he will tell you, I ask additional questions and have him show me what is going on to clarify things. People who are hard of hearing sometimes do not write as clearly as others. It is something we need to take the time to deal with. Just my thoughts.
