I am talking about if one is protected.  If one is protected, you have auto 
protect enabled, this will catch any virus
that you attempt to download.  If you get a floppy from somebody with a file on 
it, then you want to scan it before
running it.  So if you keep your antivirus files up to date, and you are 
protected as I said, then there seems no reason
to scan outgoing e -mail.
