Don't know if there is a direct way but you could use the Jaws cursor and 
really look around the whole screen for it.  I haven't used Word for a while so 
I don't know but you could give it a try.  Left clicking on something that 
sounds like recover should at least get Jaws in focus in the right area.

  How do you open the recovery task pane in Microsoft Office Word 2003 using 
JAWS?  A document I was creating was recovered, but I need to open it.  When I 
was closing Word I got a dialog saying that the document was recovered and was 
in the Recovery Task Pane.  I opted to view it later and clicked OK, but I 
don't know how to get to the recovery task pane using JAWS.  Can one of you 
help me out?
