There was a very nice and accessible feed reader called RSS Reader(Note upper
case). Jaws stopped working with it. When I asked Freedom Scientific to look
into it, they appeared exhilerated by the reader built into IE. I think
Jonathan Mosen did an FS-cast on the subject.

Unfortunately, most of the third party RSS feed readers are not very
accessible. As far as I'm concerned, the most accessible feed reader is the
one built into IE 7 and 8. IE 8 has an option to play a sound when a feed is
updated, but it doesn't seem to work. Otherwise, the IE feed reader is easier
to use than any of the stand -alone clients I have tried, including YeaReader,
Sharp Reader and Snarfer.

    Hi there,
I'm looking for an RSS reader that has features such as automatically
obtaining the new RSS items, and preferably playing a sound when it does so. Of
course, it should be accessible too. I'm currently using the Feed Sidebar
add-on for Firefox, but it doesn't have an option to notify by sound when new
items come in.

    Thanks!
