Hello,
A solution if you find Gmail too difficult to use, even with basic HTML,
is to set it up in your ordinary e-mail client. Gmail offers both pop
and IMAP access. Personally I have set up my e-mail client
(Thunderbird) to access my e-mail account at Gmail via IMAP, and I use
their smtp server to send my messages there.
