There are a dozen ways to do everything. You can do a lot more with jaws 5.0.844 than you could with previous versions of jaws for example, you can use quick keys, you could always use find. You might have better luck with the jaws cursor though if you turn of the virtual cursor. My strong take on this is that there is almost never a need to use the jaws cursor in ie. For mmulti-selection lists, I think the key is shift+f8 to get you in to the list. This will work though oly if the page is coded correctly or at least within the limits of what jaws can tollerate. I think b is for next button by the way. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Gallik" <wfgallik@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, June 24, 2004 11:37 AM Subject: Re: Getting Confused in Outlook Express ALL of my screens are maximized!!! The reason I want to use the JAWS cursor in IE is because there are times that buttons I want to select are at the top of the window, but the <TAB> sequence of those buttons are after a load of other, unwanted links. For example, in PeaPod the "Submit Your Order" button is right at the upper right of the screen, but it's about the 40th item in <TAB> order. And buttons do not show up on the JAWS induced "Link List" so that's not an option neither. And, several months ago I tried taking an on-line skill evaluation test but was not able to get beyond the first question because I needed to check multiple answers. When I switched to the JAWS cursor it indicated a blank screen, and yet the PC cursor would not permit me to select multiple choices. There are quite legitimate times when one would require use of the JAWS cursor, though not hugely common. - Bill -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
