Hi,

Maybe the newer version of the game has the right visual basic library
files. Also, is the game compatible with windows xp? Since it was written
in 2000, maybe that is the problem if you are using xp.

We have had a computer game for the blind on our computer for some time,
called WordPlay. It works with JFW or Window-Eyes. We purchased a download
of it from Robert Betz. It suddenly developed a fault and does not work any
more. When we purchased the game, we had to download a Visual Basic program
from the site to make it work, and we are wondering whether this is where
the fault is. Is anyone familiar with this product, which is part of an
8-pack of computer games for the blind? It was developed in 2000. If so,
can you tell us which version of Visual Basic is used. I have downloaded
Versions 3, 4 and 6 from the internet without any result. Mr Betz is trying
to sell his rights and code to these games, so I don't think a direct
approach would work. There is a newer version of this game, called
Accessible WordPlay SV, which has the Eloquence speech engine built in and
doesn't need JFW or Window-Eyes.
