I could only find one registry itemm, and from the way it was worded, it
didn't sound like it removed entries.  Even if I found this option, is
it really safe to do so?

I'm assuming you checked the box for checking the registry there's a
box 
to check using your up and down arro a couple of times over it should
tell 
you checked or not.  This is in the spybot-snd sub-menu under settings
And 
you select select all available checks Now when you've scanned your
system 
and found things to delete, registry items don't automatically come up

checked like spyware does you have to hit the spacebar on these items
in 
the list.  Perform the normal deletion procedure Like you always do.
There 
should be a comfirmation box for deleting the registry item say yes
Then 
go to recover and select purge all backups.  I think that is what it's

called.
