Hi RJ,

I sympathize with your awful problems, but I'm using Jaws 6 on my computer
with Windows XP Home, and I have hardly any trouble at all with Word, or
Outlook Express, or Internet Explorer, the main programs that matter to me.
I do need to use scripts for applications like AdAware, but so does
everyone.

I have also run earlier versions of Jaws, from 3.7 to 4.51, with the same
programs under Windows 98 S E on an earlier computer, and never had many
troubles with those things, either, at least not that I couldn't solve by
learning how to adjust Jaws settings. I'm not saying it's perfect, just
saying I've had a pretty good experience as a Jaws user, overall.

Just another perspective.

Jim,

What I am saying that version 3.7 works much better than Version 6 and 6.1.
Version 6 stops went ever it feels like it. and Version 6.1 won't even allow
one to open MS Word. And If I want to run certain program, I better know
what version of JFW will work with the program I choose to run. Version 4
wasn't bad. And version 5 was something I could put up with, but version 6
and version 6.1 is a pure disaster.
