Well, Marsha,
The only piece of technology Michigan ever bought for me was a tape
recorder when I started college in 1959. I have had to buy all the stuff I
own--computers, screeen readers, Kurzweil, Braille devices, etc. and more
recorders as I needed them. I also had to buy copies of braille textbooks
sometimes--and pay for my readers most of the time.
