Y'all will recall I was having a devil of a time with JFW 8 on a new
laptop, it would not read tabs, messed up in Word and Notepad, all kinds
of symptoms. Well, this laptop has an ATI Radian mobility 1400 video
card, it has a never used diagnostic utility that is installed as a system
service. Finally, one of the bright boys at FS had me disable that
particular service and bingo, everything works perfectly.
