In jaws 7, when I press control f in word to find something it seems like jaws is late in asking what I want to find. Instead of waiting for jaws to ask me what I want to find I just start typing and press enter. It finds what I am looking for and I can get on with what I am doing. Hi Marsha,
It didn't appear to me as if you'd actually typed two identical messages,
one after the other. I didn't mean that. It seemed as if you may have
composed the message outside of OE, for some reason, and then pasted it in
twice into the same email you were composing, because, so far as I could
tell at a quick glance, so to speak (a quick run-through with jaws, that
is), the second was identical, verbatim, to the first.

But I'm sure you know what it was you did. Thanks.

Hi
Thanks for telling me about the message appearing twice. A senior moment
I think.
The program is OE. I guess I need to slow down my typing speed.

Hi,

First of all, are you aware that your message appears twice, below? Just in case that's helpful. What I'd like to know is. what program are you in when using Find and having this problem to deal with? It doesn't sound familiar.

Thanks.

Hi
With the help of David, I found out what the problem is with the find not
working with Jaws 8. The problem is that Jaws slows everything down. If
you use Jaws 7, you don't need to pause before you choose which fields you
need to fill. On the other hand, with Jaws 8, you need to pause so that the
system can catch up with you. If you don't do this, the system thinks you
want Tools instead of the to field. If it makes this mistake, it will open
the tools menu.
