No, that's not something that's happened to me, fortunately. Maybe there's
some sort of conflict between your system and teh splash screen.

You're right. I'd forgotten that the most recent versions of the program have some problems with the readings of menus. I'm so used to just using the access keys for the options I want, I'd forgotten.
