Thank you and also to Dave the Wild Thing. I use Outlook, not OE but assume Dreamer's suggestion will work in the full Outlook as well. Now, because I'm curious, how the heck do people embed songs in email messages? ________________________________ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dreamer Sent: Friday, March 17, 2006 12:48 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Extracting audio from an email message If you're useing Out Look Express here are the instructions: To extract music from E-Mails To extract the song, the recipient needs to launch OE and click on ToolsOptionsRead and check off Read all messages in plain text. The song will then appear in the Attach field as a file that can be saved just like any other attachment. To save the music and or picture: 1. Go to the tool bar under file and choose save attachments as 2. Select where you want to save the sound or picture 3. tab down to save and you're done. ----- Original Message ----- From: Pickrell, Rebecca M. <mailto:Rebecca.Pickrell@xxxxxxx> To: JFW list <mailto:jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, March 17, 2006 9:03 AM Subject: Extracting audio from an email message Hi all. Someone sent me an email message with a song embeded in it. I'd like to extract the song and send it as an attachment. Does anybody know how I extract audio from an email message? Currently, when I open the message, the song plays. Thanks
