Subject: Error while trying to register

Hi list,

I recently installed jaws version 6.10 on my computer. It works just
fine but I can't register my copy.

Just after installation, I was prompted to register but before doing
this, I wanted to set it up to suit my personal habits. Therefore, in
the registration dialog box, I checked "don't show this again" and
pressed the "register later" button.

Then, I set up jaws on my computer as I wanted and tried to open the
jaws menu then help and then "Register Jaws...". This operation did not
bring me the registration dialog box. Therefore, I tried
jaws/options/basic options and pressed the "Update registration" button.
After two or three attempts to press this button, instead of the
registration dialog box, I received one informing me that the
registration process failed. It invited me to place the registration
form into my outbox in order for my mailer to send it later to FS. I
answered Yes to this question but it also failed, inviting me to save
the registration information to a floppy disk. I pressed the "Save"
button and put a blank floppy.

I then could notice the presence of a file named
"<my_serial_number>.fsr" where <my_serial_number> is to be replaced by
my real jaws serial number. I tried to open this .fsr file with my
favourite text editor and noticed that the information it contains,
(user name, company name, address, ...), are correct.

In fact, I was not really surprised that the registration process could
not access the internet since my computer is protected by the hardware
firewall of my employer. However, since my mailer is Microsoft Outlook
2k3, I was really more surprised to notice that the registration process
could not even send the form by email to FS.

Therefore, if I want to do it by hand, what's the Freedom Scientific
e-mail address to which I should send my registration form please ?

Many thanks in advance. Have a nice day. Chris
